Corporate & Project Finance

The backbone of British Petro is the corporate and project finance Division, which provides debt and equity capital to corporate, institutional and government organizations.

We are capable and willing to consider two types of financial transactions.

The first project financing type is debt-based in the form of a loan or credit facility that can be secured by various forms of acceptable collateral.

The collateral may include financial guarantees and credit enhancement instruments with acceptable ratings (from Standard & Poors, Moody's or AM Best) that can be used in the event of a default by the borrower to guarantee repayment of the loan.

These forms of collateral must be able to be verified and authenticated on a bank-to-bank basis. Acceptable forms of project and loan collateral in the form of financial guarantee instruments or surety products issued by banks, insurance companies and financial institutions including:

• European Bank Guarantees
• Stand By Letters of Credit
• Insurance Financial Guarantees
• Corporate Bonds / Medium Term Notes

The second type of financing we are capable of providing is equity capital that does not have to be repaid in the form of a loan or debt.

Utilizing this form of financing we invest the necessary capital in exchange for equity ownership in the company or project at an agreed upon percentage of ownership in the company or project.

Our approach and process is straightforward. Upon submission and review of a request with project details, a feasibility study, or business plan, and any other information we may request after our initial review, our team will evaluate the opportunity for risk, future financial performance, feasibility and other considerations to determine if we have an interest.

In instances where the submitted transaction meets our criteria we will prepare a written proposal outlining our proposed terms and conditions.
